What Do I Want From This Program?
After completing the Educational Technology Program through Marian University, my main goal is to incorporate more student-driven technology so that students contribute versus consume. I have had students create a video once this school year in which they had to explain why a system of linear equations graphed in Desmos graphing calculator looked the way it did. By including more assignments where students need to show their learning using technology, I will be better preparing them for the technology-powered workforce that they will be entering in the not-too-distant future. Plus, this style of teaching and learning is much more engaging and allows students to take more ownership of what they know. I'm excited as I embark on this journey and eager to achieve my goal!
